Q: Your face may be familiar to some around Alloy 26. Tell us about your history with Alloy 26 and Nova Place.
A: I was the Event Management Intern for Nova Events over the summer of 2019. I assisted with the planning, logistics, and execution of the events and served as the main point of contact to the hosts.
Q: What was your favorite part about that internship?
A: I enjoyed interacting with many new individuals and gaining experience in the Event World. Every day was different, setting up for something new and ensuring all expectations were exceeded is what I loved most. I was able to utilize what I had been studying at the University of Kentucky; Hospitality Management and Tourism. I knew I chose the right career path when I started here, and it didn’t feel like “work”. I do well in fast-paced work environments and creating a schedule to execute. Working for Nova Events solidified my passion for the Hospitality Industry.
Q: What excites you the most about joining Alloy 26?
A: What excites me most about joining Alloy 26 is the opportunity for personal and professional growth. Getting to work alongside such motivated individuals has created a positive work environment. I enjoy all the moving parts of Alloy 26 and look forward to expanding the overall success of the coworking space.
Q: How do you like to start your workday?
A: On-time is late in my book. I don’t like to feel rushed, so I arrive early and take my time getting set up for the day.
Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: My mom, fireworks to help signal where we are, and a knife.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not in the office?
A: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling anywhere with a beach.
Q: If people have any questions about their membership, amenities, or events, how can they reach you?
A: I can be reached at jchambers@alloy26.com and by phone at 412-224-5244. Feel free to reach out at any point, I am happy to help.
