On April 3, 2025, Nova Place had the honor of hosting One Big Table: An International Tasting, an extraordinary event that brought together over 450 guests to celebrate the rich diversity of Pittsburgh while supporting Literacy Pittsburgh. It was an unforgettable evening of food, music, art, and community—all in support of a great cause. 

A Global Feast of Food and Culture 

Guests were treated to a vibrant culinary experience, with 24 local restaurants showcasing an array of international cuisines. From Middle Eastern and Mexican to Turkish, Ethiopian, Thai, and Indian, there was something for every palate. A special thanks to the Literacy Pittsburgh team for their delightful "City of Bridges" cookie and donut table, which added a sweet touch to the evening. 

Entertainment and Shopping 

The entertainment was just as diverse, with performances by Steel City Calypso, The Rouges, and Bollywood by S keeping the energy high and the crowd engaged throughout the night. The artisan market was also a big hit, featuring handmade goods from global artisans, giving guests the chance to support local and international talent. 

Making an Impact 

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and contributed, more than $130,000 was raised to support Literacy Pittsburgh’s mission. These funds will help adults in our community improve their literacy and workplace skills, offering them the resources they need to succeed in both life and work. It was truly inspiring to see so many people come together to make a meaningful difference.
