At Alloy 26 and Nova Place, we’re always looking for ways to foster connections, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire growth. Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to host Women United—a deconstructed, unplugged fireside chat led by Reinvention Coach, Christy Uffelman, in collaboration with United Way of Southwestern PA. This intimate, dynamic coaching session focused on navigating life’s challenges, both personal and professional, in a way that empowered everyone in the room.
The concept was simple yet powerful: an interactive, audience-driven discussion that allowed attendees to co-create the conversation in real-time. Christy guided the group through a series of thought-provoking questions, encouraging everyone to share their own experiences, struggles, and insights. The aim wasn’t just to listen to a one-sided talk, but to cultivate a safe space where women could come together, ask the tough questions, and learn from one another.
As leaders, partners, parents, and friends, we all juggle many roles that can feel conflicting and overwhelming. This event was a chance for everyone to connect on a deeper level and explore those challenges openly. Whether it was a question about balancing career ambitions with family life, navigating transitions in personal identity, or finding ways to stay grounded in a fast-paced world, Women United was all about creating a conversation where no topic was too big or too small.
The beauty of the session was in the shared experiences and collective wisdom that emerged. Attendees walked away not only with practical strategies for self-discovery and reinvention but also with a sense of solidarity. It was evident that, no matter where we are on our journeys, we are not alone. Together, we can find ways to evolve, grow, and support one another.
To make the evening even more enjoyable, food and beverages were provided by the wonderful team at Roxanne’s Catering, adding a touch of local flavor to the experience.
The evening ended with a renewed sense of inspiration and connection, leaving everyone a little less alone in their struggles and a little more empowered to face what’s ahead.
At Alloy 26, we’re proud to host events like Women United that go beyond the usual networking sessions. We love being in a community like Nova Place that embraces collaboration, personal growth, and support in all aspects of life. If you missed this session, don’t worry! There’s always another opportunity to join the conversation, explore new paths, and be a part of something that makes a difference.
