Every job has its stresses and some weeks are more hectic and stressful than most, and though it’s easy to breakdown and let the stress get the best of you, it’s important to find positive ways to get through it. - Take Care of Yourself: This may be the most important tip of all. Everyone always stresses the important of good mental and physical health, and there is a reason for that. When both your mind and body are healthy, you’re bound to be more energetic and productive at work. Taking care of yourself ensures feeling good, which ensure better work. Eat the right foods, stay active during your off time, get the right amount of sleep, and drink a lot water! If you do these 4 things, alone, for two weeks straight, you are guaranteed to feel better. Taking care of yourself is the best way to prevent stress.
- Plan Out Your Week Ahead of Time: There is something about writing out your plans that make them seem more concrete. If you give yourself a schedule with tasks and times for when the tasks need to be done, you will feel more obligated to finish everything. Setting goals for yourself is a great form of motivation.
- Make Time for Yourself: Though your week might be jammed packed with work, try to find time to sit and relax. It’s important to take breaks every once in a while and to give your body and mind the rest that they need. And if it’s too late and you’re already super stressed, try meditation or yoga to distress your mind and get back on the right track. Or maybe a hot bath with glass of wine will work better for you. Whatever it may be, find a way to relax and take time to distress from your hectic day.
- Reflect on your Stressful Time: When the stressful week is finally over, take time to reflect on it. This is important because it gives you the opportunity to improve for next time. There will always be stressful days, weeks, and maybe even months, so reflecting on how you managed it before will help you in the future.
