When is space available for rent?
Typically, our event space is available for rent only on weekdays between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Special arrangements may be made for certain weekend functions. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your needs.
How many people can the rooms accommodate?
The Lobby and Auditorium can each accommodate 150 guests. The Union Conference Room can accommodate 10 people seated at the table.
What is the process for renting space at Alloy 26?
- Send an e-mail describing the event and the requested dates and times to email@example.com, or use the contact form on our website[link to contact form here].
- If the requested date is available, you’ll receive an email acknowledgment approving your request, with information about documentation needed and the fees associated with your event rental.
- A contract will be issued. Sign the contract and return it to Alloy 26. Reservation dates are only complete once a contract has been issued and countersigned by Alloy 26.
Am I required to do a walkthrough of the space?
Yes. Walkthroughs of the space are required if you’ve never been to Alloy 26. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a tour before booking your event with us.
What does it cost to rent space at Alloy 26?
Generally, the Auditorium costs $150/hour to rent. We offer a discounted rate of $50/hour to nonprofits, business tenants of Nova Place, and members of Alloy 26. All rentals include full access to, and use of, The Lobby space for your event. The Union Conference Room costs $50/hour to rent.The rental fee must be paid in full via credit card check on or before the date of your event. Credit cards are assessed a 2.9% fee for processing.
Can I serve food and/or drinks at my event?
Yes, food and drinks are welcome, but catering must be arranged independently and communicated to the Event Manager to coordinate delivery. The Event Manager can make recommendations about caterers and other vendors for your event.Alloy 26 can offer LaPrima coffee to attendees at a nominal fee. Outside coffee is not permitted.
Can I serve alcohol?
You are permitted to serve alcohol, so long as there is a designated person to serve it. Alloy 26 cannot offer staff to serve alcohol. Additional liability insurance is required for events that involve the sale of alcohol or cash bars.
What kind of audio/visual equipment do you offer?
The Auditorium has everything you need for a stellar presentation – a projector and screen with 16×9 aspect ratio, a lapel and handheld mic, podium, as well as electrical access and wi-fi for attendees. Tables and chairs are available to accommodate panel presentations.The Union Conference Room offers multiple connection points for a fully built-in audio/visual system including a TV screen and overhead projection for video conferencing and presentations, with complimentary wi-fi throughout.
Can I have live music at my event?
Our space is a working office, with 100 companies working inside the co-working space. For this reason, we ask that live music be limited to evening events taking place after 5:00 PM.
What type of on-site support is available on the day of my event?
Support is limited to the Event Manager, who will be on-site to help your event run smoothly and troubleshoot A/V or other issues. Alloy 26 cannot offer staff for serving food or drinks.
Is there parking available for my event?
Parking is available in the garage beneath Nova Place/Allegheny Center. Our address is 100 S Commons, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, at the corner of S Commons and Federal Street.For easiest access, enter the parking garage at Gate 4 on South Commons. Stay in the leftmost lanes and park near the Expedient Elevator, If possible. Take the elevator (the escalators are under construction) up to the Plaza Level of the concourse. Once you are in the mall concourse, walk to the right and look for a sign that says A26 or Alloy 26.
What if I need to cancel my event?
Full refunds will be given for events that are cancelled within 30 days of the scheduled event date. Events cancelled less than 30 days before the event date will be assessed an administrative fee.
I’d like to host my event in the Concourse or outdoor plaza of Nova Place. How do I do that?
Rentals of the concourse or other space within Nova Place is limited, but we will make special accommodations for certain types of events. Please email your inquiry to email@example.com.
