If you’ve been in Nova Place for at least a couple of months, you’ve probably noticed that we do a lot of cool events. One of Nova Place’s biggest event series is the Nova Nights Series with food trucks, live music, items for purchase, the occasional puppies on the plaza, and of course, beer!
But, did you know that the women behind Nova Nights Party on the Plaza are Alloy 26 members? Meet Danielle and Erin of Winslo6. They run the series on the second Tuesday of every month from April – November.
Their passion for Pittsburgh and the community scene shines through in our Q&A with them below!
Q: What does a typical day look like? / Can you describe what you do as if I knew nothing about it or the market?
A: Our goal is to cultivate a community based culture between the Pittsburgh food trucks. We create cool neighborhood events to increase the awareness of food trucks in the city.
Q: What has been your biggest customer success story or company success story?
A: In less than a year we have grown so many friendships and amazing relationships with over 100 food trucks, breweries and multiple event venues including Nova Place.
Q: What keeps you going when things get tough in your business?
A: Our love for the city, the food, and the culture – the perks aren’t bad either!
Q: What do you do when you’re not in the office?
A: Eat lots of local food and frequent local breweries so I guess you could say we’re always on the clock.
Q: What’s it like working in a coworking space?
A: The networking has been amazing! We have met so many great people through Alloy 26! Michigan Trumbull Pizza has also been a huge benefit to us. Lol
Q:Tell us about your upcoming festivals and Nova Nights.
A: We are hosting our biggest festival of the Season which is “Pittsburgh’s Sunday Best” Bloody Mary Fest June 24th.
Our Nova Nights series is the second Tuesday of every month.
Our Heinz Lofts Street Eats Series is the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
And we host a lunch series the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month in Downtown Pgh at 11 Stanwix Street
